Watercolor Commute

A live-action street clip restyled as a painted animation that keeps the original walk, camera move and traffic, driven by the clip's own depth.

Wan VACE re-renders a clip from a control video, so the motion comes from the footage and the look comes from a reference frame and a prompt. Watercolor Commute keeps the original walk, the backward tracking camera and the passing cars of a rainy street shot, and paints them in amber and teal.

To make your own, give Wavemaker a clip and a style. It makes a depth video of the clip, repaints the first frame for your approval, and then renders up to 81 frames (about 5 seconds at 16 fps) per call, in about a minute on the accelerated setting. Longer shots are made window by window.
