A Little Light
A 12.5-second vertical lyric video: an original two-line song with word-by-word karaoke captions over three calm, symbolic scenes.
A two-line song, 'A little light, a little space / A quiet moment, a softer pace', sung by a soft female voice over acoustic guitar and light piano, with each word lighting up yellow as it's sung. The Wavemaker agent wrote and produced the song from a short brief, made a calm scene for each line and a closing shot, and timed the captions to the vocal.
To make your own, give the lines, the sound and the scenes. Here the agent generated the song, transcribed it to get each sung word's timing, and drove the karaoke captions from those timings so the highlight follows the voice. It made a still for each scene and animated it, retook the bubbles shot until nothing fell into the glass, ended the cut on the song's ring-out, and reviewed the finished file. The download holds the finished video.
How this example was made
- Wrote and sang the song An original song with the two lines sung as written, soft vocal, acoustic guitar and light piano.
- Timed the words A transcript of the vocal gives each word's start and end, which drive the highlight.
- Made the scenes Sunlight on a pale green wall, a pear by a moving curtain, and bubbles rising in a glass.
- Captioned and cut One caption line per lyric, with its comma, and the cut ends on the song's ring-out.
- Reviewed and revised Given a full review of picture, sound and the brief, then revised once the caption tool kept a lyric's comma on one line.
Real and generated. Generated: the song, the voice, the scenes and the motion.
Known limit. The pear scene's wall reads cream rather than pale green, and the short words 'a' and 'A' are sung so quickly their highlight is brief.
